The Nordic Viking Centre, Gothenburg 1985 - 2010

The "Viking Ship is a symbol designed in 1985, by Håkan Lagergren
This endlessly large project grew out of my initiative to open a Swedish restaurant, "The Swedish Kitchen" in London in 1985. This first Swedish Restaurant in London, became an instant success and grew to become an idea for a Nordic Viking Centre in my home town, Gothenburg, Sweden. The interest for the Vikings has only grown since then. Now it only feels natural to move focus to the link between Copenhagen and Malmö, aiming for letting the Vikings
create an identity between Denmark and Sweden, maybe utilizing the Danish Smörrebröd, with the gravlax become a feature, to attract tourists to Malmö and Copenhagen!!!
